Catch-up-alanche! Speed painting with contrast

Just a little video for anyone not sure of whether Contrasts are worth it. I have a friend called...Bames, who is wary of painting. Contrasts are great paints, and will easily help anyone get through their stack of scary looking models at speeeeeeeed.

Catch-up-alanche! Necromunda Water guild + Scum + Gryph-hound Phyrr Cat

Spent some time bashing some underhive denizens together to help pad out my crew.

These were using up of leftovers (and one very intentional sculpt for the Nautician) and were a nice break between some painting.

Catch-up-alanche! Multicolour Necromunda boards

So these were something I spotted online and realised I needed to try it, and found the process so simple I had to commit. You're best doing with the GW plastic tiles to represent the same process but anything works!

Catch-up-alanche! Necromunda bulk scenery painting method

Again, no apologies for the title, catch-ups are hard.

So, had a load of Necromunda scenery to paint, so out comes the batch painting assembly line! Apart from needing a decent space to get this done, you can give it a good enough look.

Necromunda Ambot Cargo-lugger, Contrast 30k Word Bearers, Mortalis games (Weekly Progress)

So this lovely beauty is due to trek through the underhive, bringing supplies to where it is most needed!

I love the hodepodge nature of Necromunda, which again is something you don't get in the very ordered 40 and 30k battlefields.

Necromunda Underhive (Squat) Venator Gang: Felgryms Company

This is my newest gang to try out in Necromunda, my Squat Venator gang; Felgryms Company.

The general basis of the paint scheme was this photo I found online, which I really loved the look of, as it was completely different from the majority of my much warmer coloured gangs. I learned a lot painting my Escher so wanted to try out the metallic look elsewhere.

Necromunda configurable boards Picdump - Part 2!

The terrain is the third army on the table, tis true. See below some setups + inspiration for anyone with at least 45 minutes before the game starts! Main thing I drew from this was that I need some big blocks of COLOUR!

Necromunda house rules and handy Campaign tips

I’m loving the Campaign’s in Necromunda, so much so I have 4 going all at once. My most-frequently played one we’ve comfortably played around 20+ games, and still haven’t played all the scenarios yet (The rescue + the Hit).

I’ve found loads of stuff to try in Necromunda that seem to even out the playing field a bit and help speed things along.

Magnetised Goliath Gang

20 strongmen of fun!
So these boys were a much-needed enhancement to my Goliath gangs, in one campaign I’ve been flooded with a  bunch of Juves while my main gangs dies, in the other campaign I’m pushing 3600+ cred value, and have a hard time spending all that cash...so I bought more

Battle Bunnies Custodes fight, 3d printed Necromunda Lift, Ambots!

Have been loving the attention given to 30k at the weekender, and celebrated by playing my first game against a Custodes army with Darien from the Battle Bunnies.

Necromunda Underhive Gaming aids/Tools

In getting into Necromunda Underhive, I have found a number of great gaming aids which helped me massively, Yaktribe, Battlescribe, and Rollz.

Yaktribe - This is more than a website, first and foremost for Necromunda fans it’s a free list builder, but more importantly it’s a Campaign manager.

SumpKroc, many Necromunda games played, Escher take to the field, Armigers are good in Heresy!

He’s green and mean and looks far too clean…Its Krocka my Goliath Sump Kroc! I’ve currently got 2 Goliath gangs running in 2 separate campaigns, and only just managed to afford this charmer in one.
Painting this guy was fairly easy, and I didn’t nearly apply as much attention as I should have (plus the camera washes everything out)

Weekly Progress: Necromunda Chaos Spawn, Magnetised Goliaths, Cult bodies and a minor Heresy drop

Whew, long title, long few weeks. Have been getting heavy into Necromunda Underhive, and in the last three weeks have probably played 6-8 games, so I needed to jump but back in the painting seat to get stuff closed off. First up, this little pet.
My Cult call him their Son, Pelo Petay, and he's a keeper.

Weekly Progress; Necromunda Convoy Scenario, Downtown dust-up setup and figure prep

So, this weeks focus has been shared a bit more evenly between my game systems, but primarily on Necromunda. This week, we tried the Convoy scenario....
Setup for this was the most fun. Making that ambush alleyway through the Underhive was genuinely one of the most fun things I've done

Weekly Progress: A relaxing drive through the Underhive, Necromunda bystanders, Escher Enforcers based

So, who wants to take a caravan through the underhive? Anyone?
This board was initially setup to play the caravan mission, but turned out to be pretty well set up for other games too. At the time of playing, I've still not had the opportunity to get an actual Caravan mission game in, as the gangs have been fighting over the ambush site itself.

My cheap and lazy rivets Tutorial

So every scratch builder has their own way of doing things, and all work differently. My take on these is below, and my results are here and the easiest process to do them quickly too.
So I had a batch of stuff scratchbuilt and wanted the ability to make them have some texture, without always relying on material like PVA/greenstuff/Modelling clays etc to do so.

Necromunda scratch Terrain and GW bits

Height is what the Underhive needs, for all its low down, sump-slicking goodness, there's a whole world of pylons and vertical scariness for bullets to explore. Its a long way down from the high points too!

House Escher Enforcers

Well the sprue was just lying around...
These are Lyrae 55, Escher sub-faction seconded to the Adeptus Sororitas.
